Unemployed Graduates Demand Jobs

Unemployment is on an alarming rise and the educated people after struggling for years to get the degrees can’t just find suitable jobs. The problem isn’t even finding a suitable or preferable job but a job that can help a person sustain their lifestyle. Most of the people get enrolled in subjects that will help them get a job at the end of the degree but the number of people graduating in those subjects has become so large that not all of them end up finding a job.

The increasing number of graduates passing out every year in some of the most famous and acceptable fields in society are making it difficult to recruit all the graduates. The available candidates are more than the requirement and some of the candidates have to turn back disappointed. The flawed education system is not producing who can compete at the international level, earn jobs at the global or know what they really want to do/become in life. Students don’t have a clear idea of what they want to pursue and they wander around exploring options not based on their interest but to earn.

Most Important Government Department's List

We have made people chase jobs and not chase passions. This has been an important flaw back which is holding us from becoming our best. When all you think of is a job then you only study to get grades and not to experiment to create something new. The markets are for those who are willing to experiment, explore and chase down their dreams. The other issue is of not knowing their strengths and weaknesses. When people graduate from universities, they tend to enroll in Masters programs which are exclusively research oriented but we have to mold them into teaching style. This has turned a research degree into a mere teaching degree and the burden is on the teaching sector to recruit all those graduates.

Teaching Jobs after Graduation in Govt

Another is of the increasing gap between private and government institutes. There has been a hue and cry on the subject during the elections time that there will be one system, one syllabus across Pakistan to bridge the gap between the students of government institutions and private institutions. This has also divided the people into a further class: some of them are being called as burgers, some of them as desi kids, etc. The private institutions are more advanced in their methods and they groom their students according to the prevailing demands of the market. On the other hand, government institutions are still running in the old age and don’t even bother to introduce any change in the courses they offer, the techniques they use and the overall environment of the university. This has led to more jobs for the groomed, well-equipped students and the government one’s keep on struggling to find the right kind of jobs for them. The outdated system, old curriculum, and other flaw backs are holding back the students from attaining the best of the new world.
