National Academy for Prisons Administration was founded in 1973 in the supervision of government of Pakistan and it's main responsibility is to train those staff which perform duty in Prisoners handling staff. National Academy for Prisons Administration is also known as Central Jail staff Training institute which was established in 1974 and located in Lahore city of Pakistan which was after upgraded as National Academy for Prisons Administration and the main objective of this administration is to provide training on national level to those persons who perform their duties in handling and management staff of prisoners in district jails. National Academy for Prisons Administration are worked under the control of Minister of Interior government of Pakistan.
The main objective of Central Jail Staff Training Institute include guide about human rights and important disciplines to senior prison staff, and also provide physical training to prison staff on ensuring physical fitness and promote officers based on skills .
